BLACKPINK Expected to Renew Contract with YG Entertainment, Remaining as YG Family
ROSÉ UPDATE – April 4, 2023 KST
According to Star News Korea media outlet, the globally renowned girl group BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) is expected to continue their journey as part of the YG Entertainment family. The group’s contract is set to expire at the end of August, and it appears that all members are leaning towards renewing their contracts with the company.

Sources close to the members have revealed that unless any unforeseen circumstances arise, BLACKPINK is determined to maintain their relationship with YG Entertainment. The ongoing world tour, which has attracted over 1.5 million fans across the globe, is believed to have played a significant role in solidifying the group’s trust in their management company.
BLACKPINK successfully completed their North American tour last year, performing 14 shows in 7 cities, and a European tour consisting of 10 shows in 7 cities. The group is currently meeting with their Asian fans and is scheduled to headline at the US Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in mid-April and the British Summer Time Festival at Hyde Park in July.
Debuted on August 8, 2016, BLACKPINK has been active for nearly seven years, securing their position as one of the top global girl groups. They have achieved remarkable success on the Billboard charts and other international rankings, and all members have established themselves as global brand ambassadors, becoming “global hot icons.”
If BLACKPINK renews their contract with YG Entertainment in August, the company’s lineup will continue to be a strong pillar in K-pop, featuring artists such as G-Dragon, BLACKPINK, WINNER, AKMU, TREASURE, and the soon-to-debut girl group Baby Monsters.
